First product: „Mipofolie“, an innovative protection film for maps and technical drawings.

Expansion of the product range by launching “Mipofolie Color“ and “folioplast“, a protection film for book covers.

Strategic marketing of the products by introducing catchy logos and the advertising character “M“.
1961 Rudolf Schwarz joins the management of the company alongside his brother Hanspeter.
„Mipofix“, a self-adhesive decoration film available in a variety of designs, conquers the craft and hobby market.

Development of the world-famous stencil film ASLAN 85 K for painting and lacquering works on truck curtains and vehicles: Launch of a stencil film program for letterings with lacquer or paint.
Market launch of self-adhesive films for the advertising industry: Introduction of a range of colour films.
Introduction of skin-friendly self-adhesive films for the medical industry.
Building of a modern research laboratory and a new warehouse.

Renaming “Alfred Schwarz GmbH & Co.“ into “ASLAN, Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG“, accompanied by a new corporate design. From now on, ASLAN is the brand and company name.
1993 Focusing on the development, production and marketing of innovative niche products.
1996 Oliver Schwarz joins the family owned company.
1999 Oliver Schwarz becomes managing director alongside his father.

Launch of several new product lines for the graphic and printing industry such as glass decoration, metal effect and digital printing films including a film for decorating facades based on specially developed, ecologically friendly adhesives.
2006 Rudolf Schwarz assigns the operating management to his son Oliver and remains deputy managing director.

2012 Completion of an additional modern offi ce building on top of a new warehouse for raw materials.
Extension and modernization of the coating capacities.
Expansion of the memoboard product line, consisting of whiteboard, chalkboard and ferrous films.
After Rudolf Schwarz‘s death in 2014, Oliver Schwarz becomes the sole managing director. 2015 Martin Geveke joins the management as technical managing director.
Completion of a new warehouse and shipping facility ASLAN celebrates its 65th anniversary.
